CRAU History: [insanejournal.com profile] wariscomingcom [post-s2; later, post-s3] 2013-2015
Scott showed up in Lawrence, KS after dealing with becoming a werewolf and being inadvertently dragged into a whole bunch of supernatural shenanigans. These include, but are not limited to: Fighting a pack of Alpha werewolves, a friend realizing she can hear the dead speak, his best friend being possessed by an evil trickster spirit, his high school sweetheart being killed in battle, and accidentally turning a kid from school and trying to navigate how to deal with that.

However, while he was in Lawrence, Scott dealt with the devil, demons, a slew of dangerous, deadly supernatural creatures he had never previously heard of, and not an insignificant number of plain ol' psychopaths bent on destruction. He fought in an Apocalypse, lost his first love in the battle (twice!), made friends with a dangerous ancient vampire family, and was on his way to finishing high school with intentions to go to college to become a veterinarian.

Between leaving Lawrence and arriving in a cookie-cutter neighborhood in California, Scott went home to live out another roughly 2 years of his life in Beacon Hills. Things did not get better.

The last thing he'd been through at home was being murdered by Theo. He woke up in another alternate universe, in his home state. He was in a pretty bad place mentally at the time, and was trying to get his head on straight and finish his senior year of high school and start looking into colleges.

Personality: Canon
Scott McCall is the exact kind of guy you'd want to take home to Mom, genuinely good down to his core. He cares about people, deeply and with his whole being, and tries to always see the good in others. That extends into his overly trusting nature, which on the surface is good, but Scott takes too far into a fault. He pushes benefit of the doubt too long and can end up easily manipulated for trying to see the best in people. Though he has certainly influenced people to be better versions of themselves for all the faith he holds in the best parts of people, as well.

Since becoming a werewolf, Scott has matured a lot, very quickly, due to the situations far above his pay-grade that he has continually been thrust into. The loss of Allison made the most obvious impact on him; his need to protect people he cares about ramped up in the wake of her death and he can, at times, let rash and desperate decisions fuel those efforts. Putting himself in danger is always, by his own estimation, better than letting his pack, family, or friends suffer.

Unlike other, power-hungry Alphas he has met in Beacon Hills, Scott is much more humbled in the powers he retains as a True Alpha, never using the advantages that his status has given him to overpower others except when absolutely necessary. He is resilient, and stubbornly avoids violence and murder to find better ways to handle any situation. He has only killed when there was no other choice (like during the Apocalypse he experienced in Lawrence).

For the most part, Scott's time in Lawrence did not change a lot of who he is. He is still overly-trusting, loyal and good down into his bones. But the events he lived through there (demon attacks, trolling by the actual Devil, psychopaths causing havoc, among other things) certainly added to his ever-growing maturity. He has a tendency to try to hold too much accountability on his own shoulders, and can fall into a guilt spiral if someone is hurt and he feels he could have prevented it in some way.

Before he went home to lose her there, too, Scott suffered the loss of Allison in the midst of the Apocalypse in Lawrence. Living through it twice, in nearly identical ways, definitely makes Allison a very tentative subject for him. He has come to a sort of grips about it and found his own ways to move on, but it doesn't make it any easier for him to talk about. If-and-when she comes up, there's always a flicker of a stricken look on his face at her name.

Because of events he experienced at home between his exit from Lawrence and arrival in California, Scott is in a considerably bad headspace. He'd suffered another temporary death at the hand of Theo Raeken just before appearing in this universe. He was currently in the process of figuring out whether to bother finishing his Senior year, or just skipping straight into college. He'll likely continue on the same path in Eglaf.

Powers & Abilities

Powers: Canon
Werewolf umbrella: Heightened senses, strength, agility, speed & endurance; accelerated healing; pain transference (can absorb/alleviate pain from others); memory transference; chemosignals; weaknesses include wolfsbane & mistletoe.

Scott has a half-wolf transition and as a True Alpha, his eyes glow bright red.

More details on Scott's werewolf abilities/weaknesses can be found here.

CRAU Powers:
[insanejournal.com profile] wariscoming
Force field generation: via a Christmas wish bauble in Lawrence in 2013; Scott can generate an invisible, protective barrier with up to a 10ft radius that will last as long as he has the concentration and energy to hold it up.

He can keep as many people that can reasonably fit inside that space behind the barrier. When it is raised, nothing (be it a person, a bullet, or other weapon) can physically pass through it, but magic or other powers might affect it. If the barrier is cracked deeply enough by magical attack, it will shatter and disappear.

The weaker he is (be it from injury or otherwise), the smaller the barrier is, and if he is too weak he can't generate it at all.
